What is the dress code?

The dress code is Black Tie Invited. We would love for you to dress to impress! Men are welcome to wear tuxes or formal suits. Women are welcome to wear gowns (in any color)!

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Yes! We have a block at the Hotel LeVeque located Downtown right across the street from the Statehouse. See the "Travel" section for more information!

What time will the ceremony start?

The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30PM. We ask that you arrive at 3:00PM to allow yourself time to get seated.

What should guests do in between the ceremony and reception?

There will be a short ~1.5 hour break in between the Ceremony and Reception. The drive from the Church to Statehouse is 15 minutes. Here are some recommendations that are a short walk from the Statehouse: Bars to grab a quick drink: -Hotel Leveque Bar -Buckeye Bourbon House -The Citizens Trust Coffee: -Brioso Coffee -Restoration Roastery -Starbucks at the Hotel Leveque Formal Statehouse tours will be available prior to Cocktail Hour.

Will there be parking avaliable?

We strongly encourage Uber or Lyft to avoid the hassle, but yes! There is plenty of parking at both the church and the Statehouse. Parking is free at both locations.

Where is the parking at the Statehouse?

The Statehouse offers underground parking with direct access to the Ohio Statehouse. You can enter the parking garage from Broad, State or Third Streets. Simply pull a ticket and park in any non-reserved spot. You will be able to pick up a voucher during the reception to allow you to get out of the lot without payment. It is suggested that you park on the green parking level, but there is additional parking spots on the yellow and blue levels.

How do I get from the Parking Garage to the Statehouse?

Once you have parked your car please head to the green level of the parking garage. You’ll enter the Statehouse through a set of sliding glass doors near aisle 8, in the middle of the green level, where you will see a sign above the door that reads “Ohio Statehouse.” Note: there are more than one set of sliding glass doors on both sides of the parking garage. Please find the sliding glass doors that say “Ohio Statehouse” above them. Once you enter the sliding glass doors, go to the top of the stairs, where you will be greeted by an Ohio Highway Patrol Officer (you will go through security at this time). Once through security, please follow the directional signage posted behind the Ohio Highway Patrol Officer.

How do I enter the Statehouse from outside?

Once you have entered through the 3rd Street doors go left past the Ohio Highway Patrol desk (you will go through security at this time). There will be two sets of white marble staircases in front of you, please follow directional signage either on or in-between the white marble staircases.

What's for dinner? What if I have dietary restrictions?

Short Rib: boneless beef short rib braised in cabernet, served with demi glaze and a buttermilk mashed potatoes. Citrus Salmon (GF): sweet chili-rubbed salmon with blood orange salsa and herb butter, served with a side of lemon-parmesan orzo. Summer Vegetable Napoleon (V, GF): roasted vegetables and fresh mozzarella layered over a parmesan polenta cake and roasted tomato sauce. There will be a section on your invitation where you can specify dietary restrictions!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The cocktail hour and reception will be open bar! After 11PM, the after party will have drinks available for purchase.

Are kids welcome?

Although we love your kiddos, this will be an adult-only event! If you need a babysitter, you can text Maggie to help coordinate. We have lots of recommendations and family friends who would be happy to watch on your littles!

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly ask that you refer to your invitation for the guest list details. Due to limited space at our venue, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
